Interior Design I Development

In the middle of the busy Garment District of New York, a building previously home to a printing house was now to be converted into a multi unit condominium. While our work typically centers on concerted interventions of architecture, interiors and furniture, the project presently itself as atypical: most of the interior layouts and design of the building exterior had already been set in stone at the time we were commissioned.

The client asked for a collection of minimal, warm and quintessentially New York loft spaces. Rather than trying to do too much with limited space, the idea was to create a luxurious interior through the use of stained wood flooring and white marble, while expressing the existing concrete structure. Inside each residence, an elegantly-designed kitchen opens up to a day-lit living room, where exposed beams provide an ambiance found only in a historic building like this.
